Winter wonderland, white christmas, snowman and snowflakes, that’s some things that we don’t experience here in the Philippines but there’s one venue that may give you the experience of seeing the north pole christmas but that’s without the snow effects (shame on me to say that). SM North EDSA surely astounds me with this North Pole setup that’s located on the Sky Garden and this is actually for free viewing. That’s right, free viewing. You can also take photos and some activities on a specific time like baking and etc. (will be sharing later the different sceneries that you’ll find in SM North EDSA North Pole Christmas).
So because of that coverage, I’ve experience every piece of moments with Mr. and Mrs. Santa, the elves, some funky snowman and of course the reindeers. It feels like I’ve been a kid for one day and talk to Santa Claus and wish for a toy that I want. So here’s my quick tour to the North Pole Christmas at SM North EDSA:
Santa’s Den
If you want to meet santa, here’s the exact place for you! Well on that day, I wasn’t able to see Santa because of the specific schedule for that but just for your ease, I will share the schedule here:
Santa Meet and Greet: Every Sunday (December 4, 11, 18 and 25), 4pm
Santa Memories: Every Monday and Friday (November 28-30; Decembe r 1 to 2, 5 to 9, 12 to 16, 19 to 23, 26 to 30; January 2 to 6, 9 to 10) 4pm to 6pm
Photo Opportunity: November 12 to January 10, mall hours
Mrs. Clause Kitchen
If you’re a kid, I guess you will love Mrs. Clause. As you know, she’s the best when it comes to pastries, I guess we all know why Santa loves Ms. Clause. Because kids and some of the back from the century kids loves pastries, this venue manage to have some activities like:
Cupcake Decorating by Goldilocks: Every Saturday and Sunday (December 3,4,10,11,17,18,24, and 31; January 7 and
4pm
Cake Decorating by Goldilocks: Every Friday (December 2,9,16,23 and 30; January 6) 4pm
Photo Opportunity: November 12 to January 10, mall hours
Santa’s Mailroom
Back when I was a kid, I grew up hanging up my socks at Christmas eve and leave a letter on what I want for Christmas because my mom told me to do that just for this belief that Santa may give my wants. Obviously, our personal santas is our parents. So in this venue, kids may leave a letter to the mailbox, just like the old times and maybe your wish will come true. Check out the activities below:
Christmas Arts, Crafts and Coloring Session: Every Saturday and Sunday December 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, and 31; January 7 and 8 - 3pm and 5pm
Photo Opportunity: November 12 to January 10, mall hours
Santa’s Toy Shop
If you’re wondering what will be the hideout of all the toys of Santa, well that’s the Santa’s toy factory. Because it’s impossible to bring the toy factory, SM North EDSA dealt with a toy shop which you will see some Sanrio characters like the popular Hello Kitty and friends. Sharing the events line up on this venue:
Gift Drive Donation by Bearhuggs: November 12 to January 10, mall hours
Photo Opportunity: November 12 to January 10, mall hours
Gifts We Love for People We Love – Bearhuggs & Sanrio (limited edition toys): November 12 to January 10, mall hours
Reindeer Barn
It’s obvious to the title that you will see a bunch of reindeer of Santa, the popular ones. You will see Rudolf, Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donder and Blitzen. Some of the reindeer moves but I really enjoy that venue much. Some of the events are:
Storytelling “A Day in the Life of an Elf”: Every Saturday (November 26, December 3,10,17 and 24; January 6) 5pm
Christmas Film Viewing: Every Friday (November 25, December 2 , 9, 16, and 23) 4pm
Photo Opportunity: November 12 to January 10, mall hours
Kissing Santa
This is my disappointment, I haven’t taken any photo of this one, I don’t know the exact location of this art but I saw it on a presentation so definitely a worth to seek.
